TECHNICAL ASSISTANT Harrison Township
Full time position in a charming rural community. Individual selected will be the focal point of the Construction and Zoning Departments. The candidate will report directly to the Construction Official.
Responsibilities include reviewing applications for completeness, processing construction and zoning applications, scheduling inspectors, providing information and maintaining accurate records. Technical Assistant Certification from the NJDCA must be obtained within one year of employment if not in possession at time of employment.
Knowledge of NJ Uniform Construction Code and Municipal Land Use Law is highly desirable. Prior experience in the NJUCC or zoning will be given preference. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
